TOURNAMENT RULES



- There are no game sheets to fill out. 

- No pucks are allowed during warm ups before each game due to safety reasons. 

- 4 Games will be played and consist of two 15 minute periods of continuous play.

- Teams must switch ends after the first period.

- All games will be played on half ice and all shifts are one minute in length.

- All games will be officiated by a referee and there will be no icing or offside calls.
 
- Once the buzzer sounds, players must relinquish control of the puck immediately and vacate 
  the ice. The new players may enter onto the ice surface immediately. Failure to immediately
  relinquish control of the puck at the sound of the buzzer or new players entering the ice 
  surface prematurely may result in a penalty for the offending team.

- If the goalie freezes the puck opposing team must clear the zone by retreating giving the 
  defending team room to vacate their zone.

- Teams that have less than 6 players there is a tag up rule in effect. The player 
  that has to stay on the ice (double shift) must come to the bench when the buzzer
  sounds and tap the boards before they engage with the play.

- Penalty shots will be awarded at the conclusion of the game based on the number of penalties called
  during the game ONLY if it would make a difference in the score.

- Any player having been assessed three (3) minor penalties in the same game will be 
  automatically ejected from that game. 

- No players allowed on ice until Zamboni has left the entire ice surface.

- All games will be played according to current CHA rules, with the adoption of additional 
  3on3 Challenge rules. All players must wear a common looking jersey.

- There will be NO BODY CHECKING Any deliberate body check (based on the referee) 
  the player will be ejected from the game.

Delinquent behavior on the ice will not be tolerated. Offenders will be strictly dealt
with by the referees and the player may be ejected from the game and the tournament.
 
REFEREE’S DECISION WILL BE FINAL!
If ejected player attempts to step on the ice the team will be disqualified from the 
tournament and will not be refunded........ZERO TOLERANCE!
